Settler case. The suit was held before the Lexington District Court, Lexington, Ky.
The papers are comprised mainly of depositions taken in a suit over rights to a parcel of land on or near the Licking River in central Kentucky. In addition to Berry other plaintiffs in the suit included James Elliott, John Elliott, Peter Hanks, Jeremiah Power, Alexander Ray, and James Stewart. The great majority of the depositions were taken in Montgomery County, Ky. with a few taken in Bourbon County, Ky. Deponents included George Balla, Thomas Cartmill, Thomas Clark, Uzal Crooks, James M. Graham, John McGuire, Patrick Jordon, Enoch Smith, Elias Tolin, and Jacob Warrick. Also present is a survey and map of the land in question.
