Animal Pathology Hospital. This building is used as the animal hospital
St of the Department of Animal Pathology.
€· Barker Hall. This building houses the Buell Armory, the offices, classrooms,
fy and storerooms of the Military and Air Science Departments, the rifle range,
the women’s gymnasium, and the Division of Physical Education for \rVomen.

Q Bowman Hall. This is a residence hall for men, providing recreational
1_ space and lobby facilities for the men’s residence hall group.

S Bradley Hall. This is a residence hall for men.
ar Breckinridge Hall. Breckinridge is also a residence hall for men.
. Andrew Carnegie Building. This building, which now houses the exhibits
is and study collections of the Museum of Anthropology, was originally the main
)f library and was given to the University by Andrew Carnegie.
i- Central Heating Plant. This plant contains six steam boilers which supply
heat to all buildings on the main campus, to the Experiment Station, the To-
bacco Research Laboratory, the Animal Pathology Building, the Small Animal
_€ House, the Dairy Products Building, the Livestock Iudging Pavilion, the Agri-
'S cultural Engineering Building, the Edward ]. Wilford Meat Laboratory, the
f’ Aeronautical Laboratory, and the Insectary and Conservatory.

t_ This plant is especially equipped, instrumentcd, and diversified for use as
a practical steam laboratory by mechanical engineering students.
§t Chemistry Annex. This temporary building is located between Kastle Hall
and Pence Hall and is used for chemistry laboratory and lecture.
if Coal Research Laboratory. This building houses a pilot plant for the low
ir temperature production from coal of motor fuels, lubricants, and high grade,
S smokeless, solid fuels as well as the base materials from which explosives,
j, plastics, and synthetic rubber may be manufactured. Oil shales and other
carbonaceous materials may also be processed in this plant. The laboratory is
operated by the Department of Mining and Metallurgical Engineering.

Thomas Poe Cooper Dairy Products Building. The sections of Animal
Husbandry, Creamery License, Dairy, and Poultry are located in this building.
‘ It also houses the herd book room, the incubation laboratory, and laboratories
‘ for dairy manufacturing.
E Cooperstown. This housing project, consisting of 330 apartments in several
_ buildings, is the University housing project for married students. The buildings
_ are named for Kentucky authors and literary figures.
Dairy Center (not shown on map). This building contains milking stalls
_ for forty cows, a milk room, maternity pens, calf pens, silos, and a feed stor- `

i W, W. Dimock Animal Pathology Building. This building houses the offices
- and laboratories of the Department of Animal Pathology.
Donovan Hall. This is a residence hall for men, completed in 1955. It
7 houses 350 students and contains a cafeteria seating 400 and several private
; dining rooms.
I Engineering Annex. This building is located on Scott Street and is used g
by the Engineering College for additional drafting rooms and laboratories.
