This material contains records of the Woolfolk family ancestry. The Woolfolk genealogy is traced in the publication (included in this collection) entitled "WOOLFOLK GENEALOGY, 1066-1911" by Mary Woolfolk Sawyer which describes the ancestry of the Brewster, Chew Lee, Madison, Taylor and Woolfolk families. Most of these families are traced back to 17th century America. One of the ancestors of the family served under William the Conqueror during the invasion of England in 1066. The ancestry of Courtland Moore Neel and Eurie Pearl Wilford Neel is also included. A diary of Sarah B. New from 1854-61 contains descriptions of her trips to New Orleans, Texas and Mississippi before she was married in 1861.
