A ot the Class of *19 are holding positions with the Lexington Herald. They
. are: Eliza M. Piggott, State editor; Thornton Connell, political writer;
 L Frederick M. Jackson, commercial writer; Bessie T. Conkwright, repor-
` torial staff; Ruth Thomas, society editor of the Lexington Herald, and ·
 · Sigsby Sherwood, former student, are also on the reportorial staff of the
 g Herald.
 ` Captain Herbert Graham, 1916, recently returned from service in
 L France, where he taught the latter days of European occupation in the
°  Department of Journalism in the A. E. F. University, is now connected 2
i with the Frankfort State Journal in the news and editorial departments E
 Z and has recently been assigned to work on the editorial columns of that E
 _` paper, which is doing with marked ability. Grahm was a fellow in jour- ;tL
 A nalism in 1917.

  William H. Townsend, ’12 Law, has recently been appointed Corpora—  
 ~ tion Counsel for the City of Lexington.

 J Jesse I. Miller, ’12 Law, was discharged from the Army January 1,  
j 1920, and remains in Washington as Assistant Solicitor for the Internal  
 A Revenue Bureau. Miller entered the Army on September 6, 1917, as a  
~ Private, received his first commision as first Lieutenant on January 17, S
 J. 1918, and was discharged a Major in the Judge Advocate’s Department. L
. ` Few men in the Army can show a more enviable record than this and `
lL the University and Alumni Association is justly proud of it.

 if The wedding of Miss Katherine McMurchy Logan ’14 and Mr. Wil-  
Z "liam Rodes ’08 was celebrated on Christmas evening at the Maxwell Street  
. Presbyterian church at Lexington, Ky. Both are well known to a large  
Dumber of the Alumni and we predict a most happy future for them.   V

’ married at Brockville June 25, 1919. Mrs. Garman is a graduate of

A the Experiment Staion. At the present Mr. Garman is engaged in re-
