Biography/History

Frank S. Read (or Reed) managed the Veterinary Remedy Company, located on Upper Street in Lexington, Kentucky. Read, in partnership with James Davidson and Jeremiah V. Cawby, operated a bicycle repair shop and an electrician shop at the same location as the Veterinary Remedy Company. He also served as the business manager of the Kentucky Stock Farm on Mill Street.

Scope and Content

The collection consists of a cash journal generated by the Veterinary Remedy Company of Lexington, Kentucky, recording the business' cash balance on a monthly basis.
