The nation's premier shooter... led NCAA last year at 38.846 points per game, fourth-highest average in history....scored 71 points in one game, third-highest in history... only ninth man ever to score over 1,000 points (1010) in a single season (26 games)...named to last year's Helm's Foundation All-American, third team UPI and AP All-American teams...named first team All-West by UPI for second straight year...much improved as a junior, now considered definite first team All American selection b^many... was one of stars of U.S. University World Games championship team last summer....called "perhaps our strongest all-around player," by World Games coach Denny Crum of Louisville, "and a fine defensive player," answering the oft-asked question concerning the other end of the court....amazingly strong wrists...averaged 50% from the field, 80% from the line last year in college, despite firing much of the time from outside the key....did drive much more last year.   "He put the ball on the floor much better as a junior," is how Coach Ken Edwards put it, "making it twice as tough to defense him.   He is the greatest guard in the country, and I think the World Games proved that when he was thrown in with the other great players in the country.".... business major... likes music and basketball, not in that order... was first team all-city in Los Angeles at Manual Arts high school.... lived a few blocks from USC.
