Mary E. Wilson was a native of the Maysville, Ky. area where she spent most of her life. In 1854 she was married to Morgan L. Betts of Detroit and died suddenly a short time thereafter at the age of 31. The ten years before her marriage, Mrs. Betts had many of her short poems published in local, regional and national publications.This is the scrapbook of poetry by Mary E. Wilson Betts.
