»y _ Absences due to officially authorized trips, such as those of
2- athletic teams; musical, oratorical, and dramatic organizations; and
University classes, shall be considered as being excused absences.
a The faculty member in charge of an authorized trip shall give to
;- each student concerned a statement to present to his teachers certi-
I-, fying that the absence is official.
n No report of absences shall be required for graduate students.
I- n Any undergraduate student whose standing on the work of the
previous semester is 2.4 or better, upon application to the Registrar,
d shall be extended the same privilege relative to absences as grad- ‘
,€ uate students.
Conduct. In issuing rules for the regulation of the affairs of
d the University and the government of its students, it is not deemed
n necessary to set out details. The University expects all students
l- to hold to the strictest standards of honesty in all University work
and to conduct themselves in a decorous manner, bearing in mind
a that their conduct determines in a large measure the reputation of
__ ‘ the institution.
~2 The Marking System. Results of work will be recorded in the
~€ Registrar’s Office as follows:
5 A—Exceptionally high quality, valued at 3 points for each
S. credit.
v B—Good, valued at 2 points for each credit.
S C-—Fair, valued at 1 point for each credit.
“ ‘ D—Unsatisfactory, indicates a deficiency and gives no points
i' but gives credit for graduation if with such credits the
student’s standing is l or more.
le E—Failure, valued at 0 credits and 0 points. ·
y I—Incomplete.
X—Absent from examination. ‘
A WP—-Withdrew, passing.
st WF—Withdrew, failing.
t A grade of E means that the work must be taken over in class
lé to be credited. ~
h A grade of I (incomplete) means that some relatively small
H ‘ part of the work remains undone, because of sickness or other
[_ . reason satisfactory to the instructor. This work must be com-
