The program was very fittingly

Eight Pledges Taken In Engineering
Fraternity Saturday Afternoon
Dean F. Paul Anderson and eight
ptedges, ch&sen from Alio three hundred
and fifty students of tho College tof
Engineering, were formally Initiated
Into Triangle Engineering Fraternity
Saturday afternoon.
Dean Anderson became tho second
honorary member of Kentucky chapter. Professor D. V. Terrell, head of
civil engineering, whose efforts availed
much in obtaining & chapter of Triangle at the University Is a charter
honorary member.

membership at the Saturday Initiation

SPEAKS TO
RAFINESQUE CLUB

The Raflnesque Club will hold its
regular meeting Wednesday evening,
March 23, at White Hall. Mr. W. A.
Anderson will speak to tho club on
"Boverage Plants." A social hour will
follow at which refreshments in the
form of some bovorage will be served.
At present the club Is having a pic
ture of Charles Darwin framed, to hang
upon tho wall of the botany lecture
room.

DR. HOLMES WRITES
ON DISEASED INSECTS
An interesting paper on "Insects and
Animals that Carry Disease," by Dr.
P. K. Holmes,- head of the Department
of Hygiene of tho University, has
been published by the Extension Department.
Doctor Holmes says that
we must got rid of mosqultos before
wo can get rid of malaria.
He says
that the only cure for malaria is quinine which actually kills tho malaria organisms. The paper has been released
for publication and a copy will be sent
upon request.

president, at tho fourth hour last Monday.

made by Allen Cammack, as an expression of fratltudo for the part that
ho played In bringing such honor and
distinction to the University of Kentucky, and the Engineering Society.
