Experiment Station Building—This handsome structure is located _
t on South Limestone street, one-fourth of a mile from the campus, and was l a
completed in the winter of 1904. The building is two stories high with l f<
a basement and is constructed of pressed brick with oolitic limestone i 'I
trimmings. The foundation is of Kentucky gray limestone faced with ; ll
broken ashlar oolitic limestone. A large portico, with columns extend-   S
· ing from the first floor line to the pediment on a level with the cornice,   ci
forms an attractive feature of the building. The cornice is massive, {
. with large brackets. The general design of the building is colonial,   |_
adhering mainly to classic proportions. The original building was .
1141:60 feet. A large addition to this building, running 92 feet parallel  
to Washington Avenue and 115 feet parallel to Limestone street, was   U
. completed in 1913. This addition provides from forty to fifty addi- {_ C]
tional work rooms and contains 20,700 feet of floor space.   P]
Farm Buildings—The farm buildings include three dwelling houses,   T
a modern and thoroughly equipped dairy farm, a general utility barn,   fe
two tobacco barns, two beef cattle ba-rns, one sheep barn, one barn for   T
the study and treatment of live stock, one hog house, numerous small i  
individual hog houses, a feed house for the storage and study of farm    
crops, a hog cholera serum laboratory, and hyperimmune sheds, a new   tn
and coinmodious conservatory, manure sheds, etc.   is
