Scope and Content
This microfilm copy is an information file of numerous documents relating to different aspects of synfuels. Most of the file is comprised of newspaper clippings, pamphlets, booklets and guides published on a local, regional and national level, and the majority of the materials relate to Kentucky. The subjects in the file range from synthetic fuels and cancer to the construction of fuel plants and include information on gasification of coal, liquefaction of coal, oil from coal, methods of conversion, cost, nuclear energy and coal, oil shale technologies, the EPA, synthetic fuel plants, energy consumption, environmental effects and gasohol.
