1. Captured m Ohio on Morgan's raid, July, 1863, and died in prison at Johnson's Island, Dec. 31, 1S63; distinguished in battles at West Liberty, Olive Hill, Danville, Hartsville, Glasgow, Bacon Creek, Nolin's Bridge, Muldraugh's Hill, Somerset, Mt. Sterling, Greasy Creek, Green River Bridge, and numerous other engagements of Morgan's Cavalry.

2. Wounded in action at Hartsville, Tenn., Dec. 7, 1S62; captured on Morgan's Ohio raid in July, 1863.

3. Captured in Ohio on Morgan's raid in July, 1863, and confined in Penitentiary at Columbus, Ohio, and thence to Fort Delaware to close of the war.
