Scope and Content

This is a record book used by Dr. J. B. O'Bannon of Flemingsburg, Kentucky to register narcotic drugs he dispensed or distributed, as required by federal law. The volume, a publication of Abbott Laboratories, contains Dr. O'Bannon's handwritten daily entries of the narcotics he prescribed and dispensed to patients listed. The volume includes a printed explanation of the federal anti-narcotic law which went into effect in 1915.
