Lance Armstrong Visits UK for Cancer Panel Discussion
In October at the W.T. Young Library, the President’s Cancer Panel focused on ways to reduce cancer incidence and
mortality through the promotion of healthy lifestyles and highlighted research and policy regarding tobacco and
environmental tobacco smoke. The President’s Cancer Panel also heard testimony from invited participants. including
Lance Armstrong, one of the country’s best—known cancer survivors and seven—time Tour de France bicycle race winner
appointed to the panel by President George Bush.
The Lexington meeting is one of four in a series taking place around the country.
