to the Supervisors. It shall receive and act upon all committee reports, appoint Medical
    Staff members on a temporary basis until the next regular meeting of the Council of
    Supervisor s and make recommendations regarding final Medical Staff status and privileges
    to the Council of Supervisors.
7.3 Meetings. The Hospital Clinical Board shall meet monthly.


SECTION 8. Hospital Clinical Services.
8.1 The Supervisors may delegate, through approval of the Medical Staff Bylaws or by
    appropriate Supervisor resolution, to the Chiefs of the Clinical Services, responsibility
    for monitoring the quality of medical care in their services, and for recommending an
    applicant's appointment or reappointment to the Medical Staff of the Hospital and
    including a delineation of privileges for such applicant.
8.2 The Supervisors upon the joint recommendation of the Hospital Director and the Dean
     of the College of Medicine, shall appoint the Chief of each Clinical Service of the

     Hospital. If the Chief of Clinical Service is to be other than the corresponding
     Department Chairman, the endorsement of the Clinical Board and the approval of the

     Board of Trustees is also required. All such appointments shall be periodically reviewed

     by the Supervisors. Chief of Clinical Service vacancies may be filled on an interim basis

     at any time by the joint action of the Hospital Director and the Dean.

8.3 The Supervisors upon the recommendation of the Dean of the College of Medicine,
     shall appoint the Chief Administrative Officer of the Medical Staff of the Hospital.

8.4 The Supervisors may establish new clinical services upon the recommendation of the
     Hospital Director and the Dean of the College of Medicine, the endorsement of the

     Clinical Board and subject to the approval of the Board of Trustees.

8.5 The Hospital Director shall act for the Council of Supervisors in discharging its overall

     responsibility for maintaining high quality patient care. In matters relating to medical
     care, responsibility for clinical services is delegated by the Hospital Director to the Chief

     Administrative Officer of the Medical Staff.
