Animal Pathology Hospital. This building is used as the animal hospital

` Barker Hall. This building houses the Buell Amrory, the offices, classrooms, dm]
` and storerooms of the Military and Air Science Departments, the rifle range,
the women’s gymnasium, and the Division of Physical Education for \Vomen. by
‘ Bowman Hall. This is a residence hall for men, providing recreational
sp¢e and lobby facilities for the men’s residence hall group. It houses ap- **00
proximately 141 students.
Boyd Hall. This is a residence hall for women, housing approximately 142 Dc]

Bradley Hall. This is a residence hall for men, housing approximately 158 me
students.
Breckinridge Hall. Breckinridge is also a residence hall for men, housing by
approximately 169 students.
l Andrew Carnegie Building. This building, which now houses the exhibits me
and study collections of the Museum of Anthropology, was originally the main mp
i library and was given to the University by Andrew Camegie.
. Central Heating Plant. This plant contains six steam boilers which supply D;
heat to all buildings on the main campus, to the Experiment Station, the To- Tl
bacco Research Laboratory, the Animal Pathology Building, the Small Animal the
House, the Dairy Products Building, the Livestock Judging Pavilion, the Agri-
cultural Engineering Building, the Edward ]. Wilford Meat Laboratory, the Ulf
\Venner-Cren Aeronautical Laboratory, and the Insectary and Conservatory. he
Albert B. Chandler Medical Center. Now under construction on the east
side of Rose Street near Limestone, the Albert B. Chandler Medical Center will Eel
contain instructional, laboratory and administrative areas for the Colleges of an
Medicine, Nursing, and Dentistry, together with the University Hospital, the
i Outpatient Service, the University Health Service, and the Rehabilitation mf
Service.
This plant is especially equipped, instrumented, and diversified for use as in
a practical steam laboratory by mechanical engineering students.
Chemistry Annex. This temporary building is located between Kastle Hall tht
and Pence Hall and is used for chemistry laboratory and lecture. T}
Coal Research Laboratory. This building houses a pilot plant for the low
temperature production from coal of motor fuels, lubricants, and high grade, ]o
smokeless, solid fuels as well as the base materials from which explosives, oil
plastics, and synthetic rubber may be manufactured. Oil shales and other
carbonaceous materials may also be processed in this plant. The laboratory is
operated by the Department of Mining and Metallurgical Engineering. Sc
Thomas Poe Cooper Dairy Products Building. The sections of Animal
Husbandry, Creamery License, Dairy, and Poultry are located in this building. cr
It also houses the herd book room, the incubation laboratory, and laboratories H
for dairy manufacturing.
` Cooperstown. This housing project, consisting of 330 apartments in several ht
buildings, is a University housing project for married students. The buildings 1,,,
are named for Kentucky authors and literary figures.
Dairy Center. This building contains milking stalls for forty cows, a milk U,
room, maternity pens, calf pens, silos, and a feed storage loft. `

and laboratories of the Department of Animal Pathology.
