Scope and Content
Materials consist of account books from the Andrew J. Oots Cooper Shop, sometimes referred to as the Oots Cooperage Firm of Lexington, Kentucky. Receipt books list the names of buyers, along with the date, type and cost of purchase. Other materials include expense accounts which note such items as the wages paid to workers. In addition, there are address books containing names of clients, most of whom are companies. A few miscellaneous receipts are placed within the pages of these books.
