Dave Baker
Dave Baker begins his ninth year as a member of the UK broadcast team. Baker serves as host of "Countdown to Tip-Off," the one hour-and-a-half pregame show that leads up to gametime.
A native of Franklin, Ohio, "Buzzy" became a sports reporter at WKYT-TV in 1982, following his graduation from Georgetown (Ky.) College. He was named the station's weekend anchor in 1984 and was instrumental in founding the award-winning "Sports Spectrum"  a 20-minute comprehensive sports show on Saturday nights.
Baker also serves as the pregame host for UK football broadcasts while conducting a successful Sunday morning radio talk show.
Martin Newton
Martin Newton is in his third season as a member of the UK Television Network. Newton, who is the son of UK Athletics Ditector CM. Newton, previously served as the color commentator for the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers' basketball broadcasts tor two seasons. A graduate of Samford, where he also played basketball, Newton has lived in Lexington the past six years. After a successful career as a representative for Converse, Inc., Newton is now employed by Nike.
He and his wife Cindy have three children, Katie, Madison and Zachary.
Dick Gabriel
Dick Gabriel is in his third season as a member of the UK Television Network for basketball, handling all sideline reports. The Louisville native has been a fixture around UK sporrs for a number of years, most recently as the sideline reporter on UK football broadcasts since 1989. He also co-anchors with Tom Leach and Tony Cruise the postgame call-in show  "Wildcat Sportsline"  for both basketball and football.
Gabriel began his media career covering UK sports for WBKY Radio, ,i public radio station .mi the UK campus, and as sports editot of the Kentucky Kernel, UK's student newspaper. After graduation, he served as sports director tor WVLK Radio in Lexington.
Gabriel has been the sports directot for WKYT-TV the past 13 years, earning two Associated Press awards for producing "Voice of Kentucky  Cawood Ledford" in 1992. Before taking his position with the television station, he worked in Dallas, Texas, as executive producer of Host Communication's Southwest Conference Football Radio Netwotk.
Tom Leach

Leach, the new play-by-play voice of the UK football team, has served as news and sports director for WVLK Radio in Lexington lor the past six yeats. He began as news and spotts reporter tor the station in 1984 A native ot Pans. Kv., he is a three-time winner ot Tbe Associated Pre*' "Rest Sport - Program" award. He also won an Eclipse Award in [993 lor his thoroughbred horse racing coverage.
Leach is married to WLEX-TV anchor Robyn Rabbeth-Leach. They have one son, Connor.
