Seniot Detek Anderson scored 26 points in 24 minutes of action and gtabbed seven tebounds as thitd-ranked Kentucky avenged its 1996 SEC Tournament Championship loss with a 90-61 victory ovet Mississippi State.
UK jumped out to a 17-7 lead six minutes into the game, thanks in patt to thtee-pointets by Anderson, Scott Padgett, and Anthony Epps. Aftet the Bulldogs ttimmed the lead to 19-15 with 10:44 remaining, Ron Metcet scored eight of his 12 first-half points to give the Wildcats a 45-32 halftime lead.
Andetson, who scoted 23 second-half points, came out of the break on fire and scored 10 of UK's first 12 points as the Wildcats built a 57-41 lead. With UK ahead 61-51with 11:51 left, the Wildcats went on a blistering 22-1 run over the next six minutes to bury the Bulldogs.
Metcet finished with 14 points and 10 tebounds. Senior Jated Prickett came off the bench and contributed 10 points. Reserve Allen Edwards had nine points, five boatds, fout assists, and three steals.

Detek Anderson poured in 17 points and Jated Prickett had his fitst double-double of the season as Kentucky won easily over Canisius, 68-45. It was the Wildcats' 14th sttaight victory and third in six days.
UK raced out to a 14-4 lead in the opening fout minutes behind six points from Ron Mercer. Canisius fought back and cut the lead to 20-16 with six minutes temaining, but the Wildcats answeted with one of their patented runs. Anthony Epps and Allen Edwards hit threes as UK outscored the Griffs 11-1 to take a 15-point lead at the bteak, 37-22. Epps was thtee of five from beyond the arc and finished with nine points and nine assists. He moved past Ttavis Fotd into sixth place on the all-time UK assists' list.
Andetson ignited a 16-2 run in the second half with 10 points, including an alley-oop dunk off an Epps' assist and a fast-bteak dunk. UK's aggressive defense held the Griffs scoreless for 8:32 of the second half.
Ptickett hauled down 11 tebounds and scoted 10 points. Metcer, who shot 7-10 from the field, finished with 14 points. Anderson, who pulled a muscle in his back late in the second half, had four rebounds, thtee assists, and a cateer-high five steals. Sophomore Cameron Mills sat out the game because of a modetate concussion suffeted in practice the day befote.

Ole Miss put an end to UK's 14-game winning streak, upsetting the No. 3 Wildcats, 73-69, in an SEC showdown of divisional leaders.
The Rebels broke out of the gate with three three-pointers in the first four minutes. Nazr Mohammed's nine first-half points kept UK close at halftime, 36-33, despite the Rebels' seven three-pointers.
To statt the second half, Ole Miss went on a 12-2 run to extend its lead to 48-35 with 16:29 left. But UK battled back. Jated Prickett scored six points in a 13-3 spurt to cut the matgin to 53-50 with 12:40 temaining. After the Rebels built the margin back to 10, UK made one last 12-2 charge to tie the score at 68 with 37 seconds left.
After UK's Scott Padgett made one of two from the foul line to cut the lead to one with 21 seconds temaining, Ole Miss' Michael White hit one foul shot to put the Rebels up, 71-69. Anthony Epps then misfired on a pass to Padgett with 6.8 seconds left to kill any hopes of a UK win.
Ptickett led UK with 14 points and 10 boards, his second straight double-double. Reserve Derek Anderson was limited to just 10 minutes of scoteless
