Mark Hredzak had a homer and double and Mike Botkin had two doubles and five RBIs. ?Kentucky basketball signee Bret Bearup was named to Basketball Weekly's first five-man All-American team. Ten Years Ago ?Contrary to other reports, there is joy and happiness in Lexington and you'd better believe the University of Kentucky Wildcats are celebrating the NCAA title they won by a 94-88 victory over Duke Monday night in St. Louis. Thanks to a sparkling 41-point shooting exhibition by Jack Givens and a 20-point, 11-rebound performance by Rick Robey, the Wildcats returned the national trophy to Lexington for the first time in 20 years. Thanks to the Golden Goose, Kentucky is reigning as the national championship. His outstanding play enabled the Wildcats to take a lead midway in the first half and the 'Cats never trailed, although there were some scary moments at the end.
