Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology. In all cases the student
is responsible for the meeting of the requirements for graduation.
THE DEGREE OF BACHELOR OF ARTS
\ For the degree of Bachelor of Arts the student is required to
· gain a total of 128 credits and 128 points,* that is, a standing
of 1.0; and in the departments of Anatomy and Physiology, Ancient
Languages, Art, Botany, Economics, Geology, German, Journalism,
Mathematics and Astronomy, Music, Philosophy, Physical Educa-
tion, Physics, Political Science, Radio Arts, Romance Languages,
Social Work, Sociology, and Zoology, pass a Hnal comprehensive
examination on his major subject. The detailed conditions are as

THE LOWER DIVISION
General Requirements
English, first and second semesters, freshman year, 6 credits.
Foreign Languages until proficiency examination is passed on
6 credits.
_ (French, German, Greek, Italian, Latin, Spanish.)
    General Hygiene, first or second semester, freshman year,
  ` 1 credit.

  Physical Education, freshman and sophomore years. Students
i required to take physical education will enroll each semester
  until the physical fitness standard is completed. This re-
  quirement may be satisfied in one or more semesters.
gig] Military Science (men), freshman and sophomore years, 8
  credits.
j Group Requirements
Humanities, freshman or sophomore year, 5 to 7 credits.

  'Unless otherwise specified a credit represents one hour of recitation
" or two hours of laboratory a week for one semester. Drawing, Shopwork,
E and other courses requiring no outside preparation are reckoned at three
