. LIBRARY SCIENCE
· The University provides professional education for library
  work through the Department of Library Science of the College of
1 {’ Arts and Sciences. This department is accredited by the Southern
Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools and by the American
Library Association.
A one—year curriculum of 30 semester hours, with electives in
the various library fields, is offered. Students who complete this
curriculum during the senior year of college receive the A. B. or
~ B. S. degree with a major in Library Science. Students who com-
