           President Dickey reported that the Commercial Solvents Corpora-
 tion had given to the University their check in the amount of $2,500. 00 for
 use of one of the projects of the College of Agriculture. He recommended
 acceptance of the gift.

           Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the gift of the
Commercial Solvents Corporation was ordered accepted and the President
was requested to thank the donors.



                                    From: Western Kentucky Gas Company,
                                       Owensboro, Kentucky--$500. 00.

           President Pickey reported that the Western Kentucky Gas Company
had paid to the Kentucky Research Foundation $500. 00 to be used to furnish
two scholarships at the University' s Northwest Center. He recommended
that the gift be accepted.

           Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the gift of $500. 00
was ordered accepted and the President was requested to thank officials of
the Western Kentucky Gas Company.



                                    From: General Electric Foundation,
                                       Ossining, N. Y --$128. 50.

           President Dickey reported that the General Electric Foundation
had given to the University $128. 50, to match gifts of the University' s alumni
reported to the Foundation between January 1 and March 31, 1960. He recom-
mended acceptance of the grant.

           Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the gift of the
General Electric Foundation was ordered accepted, and the President was
requested to write a letter of appreciation to officials of the Foundation.



                                    From: Hess and Clark, Ashland, Ohio--
                                       $6, 000. 00.

           President Dickey presented check for $6, 000, 00 from Hess and
Clark, Ashland, Ohio, to be used in support of the project, Growth Stimulants
for Swine. He recommended that the grant be accepted.

           Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the Board concurred
in the recommendation of the President, and requested him to acknowledge the
gift.
