The work of the Station in 1909 was a continuation of
that of the previous year under about the same organiza-
tion.
For convenience, the Station is divided into the follow-
ing Divisions:

Division, 464 samples have been analyzed, most of them
being soils, but including also waters, ores, fertilizing
— materials, limestone, tobacco, grasses and forage plants,
insecticides, etc., and a large number of minerals, rocks and
ores have been examined and reported upon without being
included in the above enumeration.
The chemical analyses of soils included 139 samples
from farmers in different. parts of the State and 46 from
the State Survey in co-operative work, collected by Mr. S.
C. Jones. Of the latter, 4 are are from Allen County, 14
from Adair, 12 from Green, 2 from McLean, 1 from Ohio,
10 from Taylor and 3 large samples for pot work, two of 3
them from Breckinridge and one from Muhlenberg.
