"Keep Off The Grass"

Evidently treading on forbidden greensward is a passion
with Smith undergraduates for here we have
a group of determined looking young women
who are known as "Grass Cops." We wonder just what the qualifications are which go
to make a successful "Grass Cop."

This Harvard Grad Once Wrote a Check for

$146,000,000.00 And it was good. May we
introduce Clarence Dillon known as the Baron
in his undergraduate days head of Dillon, Read
and Company, and a power in Wall Street. He
received his A. B. from Harvard in 1905. After
several successful business ventures, he became
a member of the firm of William A. Read and
Company in 1916, and in 1919 he was elected
president.
He wrote the famous cheque mentioned above when he headed the syndicate which
bought Dodge Brothers three years ago.
