     G.   Appointments to University of Kentucky/Business Part-
nership Foundation (PR 5)

     With President Singletary so recommending, on motion by Mr.
Clay, seconded by Mr. Ramsey and passed without dissent, the fol-
lowing members were appointed to the Board of Directors of the
University of Kentucky/Business Partnership Foundation for
four-year terms ending December 31, 1985: Mr. Frank Paxton, Mr.
Walter Dear, and Mr. T. A. Lassetter. (See PR 5 at the end of
the Minutes.)

     H.   Patent Assignment (PR 6)

     The recommendation in PR 6 regarding a patent assignment,
being of a routine nature, President Singletary recommended
approval. On motion by Mr. Ramsey, seconded by Mr. Black and
passed, PR 6 was approved. (See PR 6 at the end of the Minutes.)

     I.  Change in Name for the Department of Educational Psy-
chology and Counseling to the Department of Educational and Coun-
seling Psychology (PR 7)

     Without discussion, on motion duly made, seconded and car-
ried, approval was given to change the name of Department of Edu-
cational Psychology and Counseling to the Department of
Educational and Counseling Psychology, effective immediately.
(See PR 7 at the end of the Minutes.)

     J.   Change in Name for the Center for Real Estate and Land
Use and Analysis to the Kentucky Real Estate Research Center (PR
8)

     With President Singletary so recommending, on motion by Mr.
Ramsey, seconded by Mr. Black and passed, approval was given to
change the name of Center for Real Estate and Land Use Analysis
to the Kentucky Real Estate Research Center, effective immediate-
ly. (See PR 8 at the end of the Minutes.)

     K.   Response to Office of Civil Rights Plan (PR 9)

     On motion by Mr. Clay, seconded by Mr. Black and passed
without dissent, the Board authorized President Singletary to
sign on behalf of the University a letter to Governor John Y.
Brown, Jr. (copy of which is attached to PR 9) relative to
Kentucky's Plan in Response to the Office for Civil Rights Letter
of January 15, 1981. President Singletary added that a letter
acknowledging that each institution in Kentucky will make a good
faith effort to achieve the goals of the Plan as they relate to
the particular institution is required as a part of the State's
submission to the U.S. Department of Education. (See PR 9 at the
end of the Minutes.)
