ENGINEERING III
Courses of Study and Degrees. The College of Engineering offers instruc-
tion leading to the following baccalaureate degrees:
Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering
Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
Option I-General Civil Engineering
Option 2—Civil Engineering with Special Emphasis on Architectural
Engineering
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
1 Option 1—Electrical Engineering with Special Emphasis on Elec-

3 Option 2—Electrical Engineering with Special Emphasis on Electrical

" Options and Electives. In some of the curricula certain options or electives
8 are allowed. All electives must be approved by the Head of the Department in
I which the student is taking his major work. In general the non-technical elec-
tives shall be selected from the following ltlelds:—history, economics, govern-
E ment, literature, sociology, philosophy, psychology, and line arts.
_ Co—operative Plan in Engineering. In addition to the regular four year
" course in Engineering, the co-operative plan is offered to those students in
O Engineering who have satisfactorily completed the freshman year in the Col-
lege of Engineering or to those who present the equivalent as transfer students.
;t Students who can meet the requirements and so desire, may register, pay
n a suitable fee and enter the program. They will be permitted to alternate on
zs the semester basis between school and work. The summers will be used to the
n ‘ best advantage of the student for either school or work. The student must
.e maintain a satisfactory standing to be continued in the program.
1- Those completing the Co-operative Plan will receive the bachelor’s degree
is and will also gain valuable experience. The time required will depend upon
the extent of the work program.
.0 The University does not guarantee employment to co-operative students;
d however, faciliues are provided for locating suitable jobs. All jobs must be
:s approved by the co-ordinator of the Co-operative Program. The students will
submit to the co-ordinator a written report at the end of each work period.
BY Requirements for Graduation. To receive the Bachelor of Science degree
if in any one of the seven branches of engineering a student must meet the fol-
d lowing requirements:
In (a) Complete a minimum of 130 semester hours with a standing of 2,0,
exclusive of the basic work in Military Science and Physical Education.
