          SUPPLEMENTAL RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE PRESIDENT

I. Appointment and Other Staff Changes

  Recommendation: that approval be given to the appointments and/or other changes
  which require Board action and that the report relative to appointments and/or
  changes already approved by the administration be accepted.

  Background: Approval of the Board of Trustees is required for all appointments
  to positions with the rank of Associate Professor and above, for promotions, for
  the granting of tenure, and for salary changes above $12, 000 for non-academic
  personnel and $15, 000 for academic personnel. All other appointments and/or
  changes may be made by the President and reported to the Board.

   Shelby T. McCloy, Professor, Department of History, after over 22 years of
     service, effective Janua-y 1, 1967
  Arthur C. McFarlan, Professor, Department of Geology, after over 43 years
     of service, effective January 1, 1967
   Herbert Sorenson, Professor. Department of Foundations, College of Education,
     after almost 20 years of service, effective January 1, 1967
   Alice M. McDaniel, Technician, Department of Entomology and Botany, after
     almost 37 years of service, effective January 1, 1967
              Note: Mrs. Alice McDaniel is requesting an early retirement
                    due to the fact that she is permanently disabled.
   Mabel C. Rosel, County Extension Clerk, Department of Cooperative Extension,
     Agriculture and Home Economics, after almost 17 years of service, effective
     January 1, 1967
