The mineral matter consists of small amounts of iron, lime
and magnesia, mostly in the form of sulfate, and a little
sodium chlorid. The sediment contains a good deal of iron. .
There are no nitrites, nitrates or free ammonia. _It is a
» chalybeate water. The sanitary tests are very satisfactory.
As a chalybeate water it should have some value.

LABORATORY No. 43240—Sulfur water sent by Dr. P. Hardin,
Rowletts, Ky. Received about September 1st, 1913.
ANALYs1S—One gallon contains 166.1 grains of solid matter
(2.848 grams per liter) composed mainly of calcium sulfate,
magnesium sulfate, sodium sulfate, with small amounts of
calcium carbonate, magnesium carbonate, sodium chlorid
and sodium sulfid and traces of iodid, bromid, iron, silica,
potassium and lithium. Total hydrogen suliid 0.23 grain
per gallon (.0004 gram per liter).
