610 Department of Chemistry. · ·It is a weak chalybeate water and should have some ‘ . medicinal value. ' · ‘ . V LABORATORY NO. 43242—Chalybeate water sent by R. L. · Ablett, Paducah, Ky. Sample colorless with some light 0 brown sediment. Received August 14th, 1913. ANALYSIS-One gallon contains 14.6 grains of solid matter (.25 gram per liter) composed of sodium chlorid, calcium carbonate, sodium carbonate, ferrous carbonate and traces A of magnesium carbonate, silica, potassium and lithium. The ~ sediment contains a good deal of iron. V It is an alkaline chalybeate water and should have some ` medicinal value. A LABORATORY NO.
