The Wildcats On The Air Cm Dave Baker Dave Baker, a native of Franklin, Ohio, joins the UK Radio Network for color commentary when UK games are televised live or delayed. He fills the vacancy as radio color analyst when Charlie McAlexander steps over to the television side to handle play-by-play duties on UK Television Network for delayed games. Baker, beginning his fourth year on the UK broadcast team, became a sports reporter for WKYT in 1982 following his graduation from Georgetown (Ky.) College. Baker was named WKYT-TV weekend anchor in 1984. He played an instrumental part in the founding of WKYT's "Sports Spectrum", a 20-minute comprehensive sports show on Saturday evenings. Sports Spectrum has been named best sports program in Kentucky by the Associated Press on two occasions — 1988 and 1989. The University of Kentucky once again will be featured on one of the largest collegiate television networks in the country. Host Communications, Inc., of Lexington, the firm that handles all radio rights for the NCAA basketball championship, administers the television network. WKYT-TV in Lexington produces the telecasts. II Rob Bromley Rob Bromley begins his 13 th season on the UK Television Network and will serve as host of the live and delayed-broadcast games. Bromley also produces and co-hosts the Coach Rick Pitino Show. Bromley, a sports anchor at WKYT-TV since 1980, is graduate of Butler University in Indianapolis. He worked as sports anchor in Lima, Ohio, prior to joining the WKYT-TV staff in 1977. JoeB. Hall A familiar face on the UK sidelines, former basketball coach Joe B. Hall will serve as color commentator on the UK Television network. Hall compiled a 297-100 record in 13 seasons as the Kentucky coach (1973-85), winning one national championship (1978), eight Southeastern Conference championships, and a National Invitation Tournament championship (1976). He succeeded Coach Adolph Rupp at the Kentucky helm. A native of Cynthiana, Ky., Hall now resides in Lexington and is in the banking business.
