     Said resolution was seconded by Judge Kinkead, and put
upon its passage, and upon roll-call the vote stood as follows:-

     Ayes - Messrs. Hopkins, McOhord, Nicholas, Frazee, Kinkead,
Lafferty, Metcalfe, Terrell, Patterson and Carpenter -    10

     Noes - None

     The resolution was carried unanimously.





     Upon motion of President Patterson, duly seconded and carries
the Business Agent was directed to obtain plans, specifications,
and estimates for the proposed changes in the Chemistry build-
ing and submit same to the Board of Trustees at its next meeting.


     President Patterson presented a statement from Prof. Ander-
son as to the work in the Department of Mechanical Engineering
in the summer, and asking for an appropriation for advertising P.127
same, and to purchade equipment, and thereupon offered the
following resolution:-

     Resolved that an appropriation of $200 be made for the ad-
vertising of the summer school in Mechanical Engineering.

     Said motion was seconded by Judge Kinkead and. placed upon
its passage, and upon roll-call the vote stood as follows:-

     Ayes - Messrs Hopkins, McChord, Nicholas, Frazee, Kinkead,
Lafferty, Metcalfe, Terrell, Patterson, and Carpenter -    10

     the resolution was carried unanimously.





       President Patterson also offered the followinf resolution
based on requests of Professor Anderson.

     Resolved that $3,000 be appropriated to be used in the pur-
chase of electrical apparatus and machines in the Department of
Mechanical Engineering-.
