If the Wildcats'unpredictable run in the 1992 NCAA Tournament did not signify that the UK program was back, their devastating romp through the postseason in 1993 sent the message. UK blitzed opponents in the NCAA Tournament by an average of 31.0 ppg en route to the Final Four.
"That was a great NCAA Tournament run to get there. It was just a devastating performance. In 1996, we had a lot of breaks go our way. In '93, we had breaks go against us in the matchup with Michigan. We had Dale Brown go down after playing very well. Mashbum fouled out and things went against
us. But we understand. It's like horse racing, sometimes you lose by noses and sometimes you win by noses."
