William J. Schoen * Mutual Fire Insurance Co. GEORGE KEOGAN Head Basketball Coach, University of Notre Dame
A veteran basketball coach, George Keogan has been the main factor in making the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame as feared on the basketball court as on the football field. For years he has been turning out great teams at South Bend, winning a vast majority of their games against the toughest possible opposition. One of Keogan's main boasts is that his teams have defeated Kentucky in basketball three straight times, by scores of 41 tQ 20, 41 to 28 and 47 to 37. 1938-39 Notre Dame Basketball Roster
