For the game, Kentucky hit 52.2 percent on 24 of 46 while Western managed 41.5 percent on 27 of 65.
"It was a big win for us," said Sutton after the game. "Kenny's play was great. He's a great player."
Walker agreed his play was above average.
"Yeah. I thought I had a great night," said Walker. "Hey, not everybody can have a perfect night. I was real pleased with the game. It was tough, but we won. I'm real happy to be going to Atlanta."
So the Cats will be going back to Walker's native state one last time this week, in hopes of conquering the NCAA Southeast Region. Tip-off for the Kentucky-Alabama game is 6:37 p.m., Eastern Time.
