Incident!', word from the Wildcat grid camp indicates that UK
will surprise a lot of people next season. Many grid experts have
not rated the Cats too high in the prospects of fine teams in '54,

but they could very easily be proved wrong. The Wildcats may
not have too much deptli in some positions next season, but thev
will have many steady performers returning. If Coach Collier can
just find a capable fullback to replace Balph Paolone, they will be
hard to handle. Bob Hardy and Delmare Hughes give UK a

Maloney are a strong
punch at the halfback posts. Add
this to a tough and possibly heavier line and you find that the
prospects for this fall aren't so bad after all.

Promoters are planning quite a basketball show in Louisville's
Armor the night before the Derby. Plans call for a North-Soutgame between some of the nation's top collegians. UK's Big
Three, along with Frank Selvy, Tom Marshall and Bob Pcttit are
expected to be in the South's lineup. The game should furnish
quite an evening's entertainment for cage fans in this area.
