The James W. Cluke papers contain the financial records, correspondence, and daily business of James W. Cluke and family.
James W. Cluke was a farmer and business man from Caldwell County, Kentucky. He conducted business in New Orleans, Nashville, Louisville and Montgomery County, Kentucky. He was married to Anne Mason. Roy Stuart Cluke was a commissioned Colonel of the 8th Regiment, Kentucky Cavalry CSA, in September 1862.
The James W. Cluke papers contain the financial records, correspondence, and daily business of James W. Cluke and family. The collection contains a picture of Colonel R.S. Cluke as well as a uniform epaulet. The financial records consist of receipts, account books, and checks. A property map for C.A. Cluke is also held in this collection.
