Students Will
Keep 3,000 Empty Seats
After voting earlier to place some 3,000 stadium seats for public sale to UK home football games, the UKAA did an about-face last Friday and said it would leave those seats for UK students.
Student attendance has fallen off in recent years, sometimes not taking more than a third of the 15,000 or so tickets alloted for them.
When the UK ticket committee voted to place some of the stadium seats up for public sale and the UKAA endorsed the idea, students protested and said they would conduct campaigns to increase student attendance next season.
The UKAA then agreed to relent and only a portion of endzone tickets will be made available to the public from the student section next year.
