THE WILDCATS ON TELEVISION
The University of Kentucky will once again be featured on one of the largest collegiate television networks in the country, with nine stations in four states covering a viewing audience across eight states. The games will be seen on virtually every cable system in the Commonwealth.
Host Communications of Lexington, the firm that handles all radio rights for the NCAA Basketball Championships, administers the television network. WKYT-TV in Lexington and WAVE-TV in Louisville act as co-producers of the telecasts. The UK Network will televise five UK games live and five games on a delayed basis at 11:30 p.m. ET. (See season schedule for list of TV games.)
The UK announcing team in 1987-88 will include two newcomers and one veteran to the UK Network. Handling the play-by-play duties this season will be Marty Brennaman, the legendary "voice" of the Cincinnati Reds. He will be joined by Larry Conley, a former Wildcat player who will handle the analysis chores, and UK-TV veteran Rob Bromley, who will "anchor" the pre-game and halftime shows.

LARRY CONLEY
Larry Conley, who will handle the color analyst duties in 1987-88, is certainly no stranger to Wildcat fans. Conley was a member of UK's famous "Rupp's Runts" team that captured the imagination of the entire country by overcoming the odds and advancing to the 1966 NCAA championship game before losing to Texas Western.
The Ashland, Ky., native earned All-SEC honors in 1966, then signed and played with the Kentucky Colonels of the old ABA.
Conley has spent the last 11 years working as a TV analyst for NBC, CBS and ESPN. He has also worked as an analyst for NCAA Productions during the NCAA Tournament.
ROB BROMLEY
Rob Bromley begins his eighth year on the UK Television Network by switching to "anchor" duties. Bromley will handle the pre-game, halftime and post-game anchor duties on the telecasts and will conduct interviews during those periods with prominent people in attendance. He will also handle the duties of updating scores from around the country.
Bromley has been the sports director at WKYT-TV in Lexington since 1980, when he took over those duties from the legendary Denny Trease, who now serves as the TV "voice" of the Kansas City Royals.
Bromley is a graduate of Butler University in Indianapolis and worked as a sports anchor in Lima, Ohio, before joining the WKYT-TV staff in 1977.
MARTY BRENNAMAN
Marty Brennaman joins the UK Television Network this season as the play-byplay man after earning a reputation as one of the best baseball announcers in the nation. Brennaman has served as the "Voice of the Cincinnati Reds" for 14 years, having joined the Reds broadcasting team in 1974. ^^^L In recent years, Brennaman has tak-

During his seasons with the Reds, Brennaman has gained a large following throughout Reds' Country, and his way of ending each Reds' victory, "And this one belongs to the Reds," is as much a part of a Reds' game as hot dogs and Cracker Jacks.
The graduate of the University of North Carolina has been named Ohio's "Sportscaster of the Year" nine times.
EDDIE SUTTON TV SHOW
The Coach Eddie Sutton Television Show will be aired on seven stations throughout Kentucky, Indiana and West Virginia this winter. The weekly program, produced by WKYT-TV in Lexington and syndicated by Host Communications of Lexington, will air on 18 Sundays during the basketball season.
The 30-minute show includes highlights of Wildcat games, commentary by Sutton and features on the Wildcat players. Veteran announcer Cawood Ledford joins WKYT-TV sports director Rob Bromley as co-hosts of the show.
