6th I comencec cutting Tobacco today I think my crop will be an
average one for the season as it has not been verry favorable for Tobacco
the weather at the Present time is cool and Favorable for the Ripening of
the crop

7th I have been Busy at work on a Tobacco Barn today Went to a
party at G W Cabells at Night
8th I have Been at work on a Tobacco Barn today getting Ready to Raise
9th Raised a Tobacco Barn today I had Plenty of Hands and Finished
the Barn verry easy I went to a Backwoods Party at Thos Higgins at night.
lOth Went to Henderson in company with G H Rankin
llth Sunday at Church in the Morning Elder Utley Preached went to
Mr. Haskins in the evening and from there to Mr Mitchells to set u  with
the corpse of his child Baker who died that evening about three oclock
12th I fanned out my wheat today It did not turn out as well as I
expected Helped bury Mr. Mitchells child in the evening
13th Went to the Bend of Highland in the Morning after a load of
Board and cut Tobacco in the evening
lhth Cut Tobacco in the Morning went to writing school at Night
15th At work on Barn and shed today

18th Sunday There was no church today spent the evening at
Mr. Marshalls and set up with my sister Mary Anns child at night
I 19th I have been outing tobacco and making tobacco sticks today
20th Cutting Tobacco

2hth Went to Nm Greenwells in the Morning Received $l5 on an
Execution in favor of W W McCauley and attended squire Turner Court until
two oclock then went to Walnut Bottom in company with H D Williams Went
to writing school at Night
