3lst To day ends the month of October the month has been dry and
pleasant with hard frosts at nights generally I have done but little during
the month allthough it has been one of the Best Months for work I have ever I
seen for the last two weeks I have done nothing but go to church during this
time there have been some sixteen professions of religion and I trust the meet-
ing will do much good and that all who have attended this series of meetings
will derive lasting benefit from them the Christian Portion of the community
seem much revived and I hope determined to live Better Christians in the future -
I have never seen a more gereral feeling among the people of this community
than there is at present: to night at the close of the meeting the interest
seems unabated as there were some 15 or 20 mourners and 3 profession there
has been up to the present eight additions to the Baptist Church Allthough
I have lost nearly all the months I do not regret it as I have been trying
to serve god in my own week manner and I have felt at times my acceptance
in so doing With this I bid ade adieu to this pleasant month forever hoping
that I may see its next year if I should live that long
