and wet and Farmers are verry backward with their crops
The ground has been so wet that it has been impossible to prepare for either
Corn or Tobacco I have an abundance of Plants and if the ground would
get dry enough to work I could soon finish setting out my tobacco crop
I finished delivering my crop of Tobacco on the 24th of this Month :1 the
last load was a remnant of Frosted Lugs and Trash and only Brought
me $16. 80 That is Lugs $40 at 3 cts Trash 620 My Crop Brot me

' June John Bourke Commenced sawing at my House this Morning and
I have been at work Hauling off the lumber &c

4th This has been a wet day sure I was at work at the Mill H

5th Went to Henderson to day &c
6th Sunday I was at Sunday School and Church this Morning

7th The Mill was Sawing again to day and I have been at work
delivering lumber to the church &c
8th, 9th, 10th I have been at work about the Mill untill to day
at dinner time when a Part of the Machinery got out of fix and Bourke
had to go to Evansville

12th Went to Henderson in company with John McConnell This
was a pleasant day although the week has been verry wet & Cold. I
have finished setting my crop of Tobacco and My Share Hands are all
about done but the ground is in a miserable condition for work as it has
rained allmost incessantly during the past week
13th Sunday I went to the Ohio River this Morning with Priscilla
Fenley and had the Pleasure of seeing her & Allie Thornberry follow the
