been Cutting and Housing Tobacco to day again and if the Weather
_ continues this Pleasant I will save my crop in a few days
The month has been warm but dry and fine for the Tobacco
crop with the exception of the last few days 'I have cut and housed about
Two thirds of my crop and allthough some of the Tobacco is small. it is
a good crop The past month has left us and there are no sad memories A _
clinging around us oer its departure for of late we have lost so many
friends that at the end of each month we look back and ask ourselves the
question who has left us Aometimes we feel that a].l of our best friends
are leaving us and then we realize that our time here like the month that
has just left us is but short and we will soon be with those who left us
and then who will think sadly of us as we think of those who have left us

I feel this morning sad I walk forth over my fields and I find much which
I can really enjoy Orchards laden with fruit my crop Prospects good and
I might say allmost Flattering yet while at my work I have felt sad in
retrospecting the past and know of a truth that this world can not afford
that pleasure which the heart Pineth after
