November lst -ยท Went to Henderson this morning to attend
Quarterly Court the Cow Case between me and John Green was called
and the Case was continued by Green this was a Pleasant day for the
begining of the month
2nd I went to John Vickers in company with B F Martin &
G G Lilly we rode over a considerable amount of Territory a cattle
hunting but found no cattle
3rd AboutY1 the Farm in the morning and went down to my
sister Mary Anns in the evening &c
I 4th I had a sale of the Personal Property of S L Cooper Dec
to day My Sister Bolght nearly evrything that was sold consequently
the Property sold low
5th At work about the Farm &c
6th Went to Henderson to day in company with James Green I
sold a load of Apples at 75 cts a Bushel that Brought me $13. 75 the
day has been verry cold and I begin to fear a renewal of the late cold fall weath 
7th Sunday I went to Hear the class of Prof Harris sing this
morning and from there to hear the Rev Mr Rose he Preached in the
School house and as I was late I did not get to hear him
8th 9th 10th llth 12th Nothing of interest has occured during
the last Five days the weather has been unusually cold and we are
having winter before the Fall is over
13th Went to Mr Harris singing school to day the class is a large
one and I hope will improve their singing so that we will have good sing-
ing in Church at least I was also at Church meeting in the evening
Elder Lacy Preached
14th Sunday I was at Church this morning Mr Harris gave a lecture
on the Birth of Christ which together with the singing was verry interesting
at least to me after which Mr. Lacy preached and then Dr Hevren
preached the Funeral sermon of Mrs Melton who died the evening before
Poor old Lady I had known her since my earliest recolection she was a
kind hearted old Lady and had lived to a verry old age and I trust she
had made the preparation necessary and had heard the welcome applaudit of
well done thou good and Faithfull sewvant enter thou into the Joys of
thy lord
15th Went to Henderson to day in company with J H Jacobs I delivered
to Palis & Co a load of Walnut Lumber
