19th I sowed some Plant Beds for the Negroes this morning
&c I Paid D W Williams $13 Ballance on Corn I bought of him
llth I was one of the Cbmmissioners to dibide the Land of
John Perry Decd Among his hears we that is G P Lilly W A Towles &
Myself met upon the Grounds and made what we thought to be a fair
division among the Parties but expect it will all have to be done over
again
12th I was at Church Meeting this morning Elder Lacy Preached
I was also at the Lodge Meeting at night
13th Sunday for the first time for a long time I was at church
on Sunday we should remember the Sabbath day to keep it Holy and
I love above evrything else to go to Church on Sunday Elder Lacy

14th About the Farm &c today this was a wet disagreeable day
I was Striping tobacco in the morning but it was most too dry
15th About the Farm again to day &c Received from the Building
Committee $40
16th Went to Henderson to day I paid of a note in the Farmers
Bank that the Committee gave for the Church Expenses &c 5 this was
a beautiful Spring day for Feb
l 17th I went in Company with B F Martin to W S Coopers in the
Walnut Bottom where we remained all night there was a terrible
storm of snow this evening and it turned verry cold
at nod
18th We that is B F & G B Martin és: Myself rode through the
bend a cow hunting to day I found two of mine that I thought was lost
one that had been gone for over a year this was better luck than I really
V expected
19th I went with Thos Smith to Person Lattas Place after my
Bull this morning and was at the Sale of a horse and mule the property
of Henry McDaniels in the evening I bought them both for the Sum of
$186. 90 I afterwards sold the Horse to G G Lilly for $80 I was at the
Lodge at night we had a verry severe Cold Snow & wind storm this
evening and I think to night is the coldest night of the year
20th Sunday this has been a verry cold day I have been trying
to keep warm by a fire of my own making
