March lst - The Windy month Came in this morning with a
light fall of snow and the usual windy demonstration I have been
so unwell that I have been compelled to stay about the house and
as some of my neighbors have generously found employment for
me I have endeavored to give them the benefit of my Legal Attain-
ments
2nd I went to David McLeans this morning to take some
acknowledgments to Deeds &c and in company with B F Martin
and G G Lilly to Priest Mill in the evening I received to day

3rd This was a disagreeable day I sowed a Plant Bed this
morning but it was too disagreeable to do anything in the evening
4th I tried to Strip Tobacco this morning but it turned so
dry that we had to quit
5th Went to Henderson to day .I Received from Burbank on
tobacco $200 Paid Rudy & Co for Seeds & Molases $21. 70 Expenses
&c $3
6th Sunday there was no church and the day has been dark &
gloomy I was about home nearly all day
7th This has been a cold disagreeable March day
8th I went to Corydon this morning in search of the everlasting
dollar but could not find him it is more trouble to collect money this
year than I have ever seen it before
9th Went to Henderson to day in Company with G B Martin I
sold two Loads of the Tobacco Raised on the Sam} Cooper Place I
W sold one Load at $10. 25 for the Good and $2. 60 for the Lugs $2 for
Trash The Good weighed 240 lbs Lugs 885 Trash 320 there was
740 lbs of Trash on Daves Wagon that Belonged with this Load
(Dennis Wilsons) The whole Amt to $67. 90 this with the lst Load
sold by Dennis which Brought $$32:2 $58. 20 Amt to $126. 10 Dennis
was Entitled to 1/2 of this Amt $63. 05 Amt Due S L Cooper $36. 70
leaving Ballance due Dennis of $26. 35 This is all of his Tobacco
except a small amount of Trash The Other Load was raised by
David Taylor and Sold for $9, 30 for the Good $8 for the Lugs & $2
for Trash he had Good 355 Lugs 245 Trash 260 Amt to $57. 80 I
bought to day of Blackwell 5 Barrells of Flour at %*.>£Z<5c $5. 75 Per
Barrell Amt to $28. 75 I Paid Rudy $16 on Molases &c
