24th Sunday I was at Church this morning Elder Harrison
Preached also in the evening Elder Fallan Preached
25th I managed to get my Plows Started at the Taylor Farm
this morning Went to the Diamond Island Ben; in the evening
26th At work about the Farm &c
27th Went to Henderson to day in company with Thos S Smith
Like a number of other wise men I went to the Circus (of
DeHavens) Expenses &c $5 .
222*831 Paid National Bank $100 and renewed a note for 4 months
for $200
28th I was Striping Tobacco to day as the rain last night made
a Partial Season
29th Striping Tobacco again to day but the Sun came out warm
this evening and we had to quit
30th To day ends the month of April and the second Spring
month on the Callender but I have not as yet planted any Corn and
my farm operations are verry backward evryway it is said that · ”

I sent up by L L Hancock a load of Bens Tobacco that ,
weighed Good 750 Lugs 295 Trash 385 Green Frozen Good 75 Lugs

Light as I have not had the chance to strip much Tobacco as yet

month of the year and this has been a Pleasant day I was at Sabbath
School this morning and went to John H Jacobs and G Mitchells in
the evening &c
2nd We nt to Henderson to day the long delayed Cow Suit
Between myself and John Green came off to day and I lost the case
I delivered a Load of Naces Tobacco to day that weighed Good 842 Lugs
