no matter how little we may regard the Happiness of Others in this
life there are those who will mourn for us when we are gone there
is no remembrance in the grave and Oh how much of grief and affection
comes to us as we stand above the grave of our Friends how oft would
we breathe for them a prayer could we do so but above the grave we
should forget the faults of the dead and endeavor while living to improve
our own lives so as to be ready for the Summons

Burbank Part was mine and Part Anderson Vantrice My part
weighed Good 297 Lugs 250 at 8 cts Trash 355 Amt to $56. 80
Andersons weighed Lugs 355 Good 215 8 cts(Amt to $40. 27 I also
Delivered a Load of David Taylors raised on the Sam Cooper Farm
weighed Froze 1120 3. 95 Good & Lugs at 8 cts and 6 Amt
to $17 Total $62. 94
25th I was at Esqr Turners Court this morning and was Fortunate
enough to gain my Attachment Case against Jack Allin This has been
one of the finest growing weeks I have ever seen although it has been
verry Hot
26th Sunday I was at Church to day Elder Harrison Preached
27th Striping Tobacco I managed by getting a good many Hands
to finish my own crop and Bens This leaves me}7 only Andersons to
f inish now
I 28th Went to Henderson with Tobacco I delivered th Remainder
of my own crop which weighed Good 630 Lugs 325 Trash 225 Amt to $100
2 Loads of Bens that weighed Good 1810 at 8 cts Lugs 1420 at 6 cts Trash 640 ·
Amt to $242. 00 This was all of Bens Crop But some trash My crop did
not pay much on the Amt invested as it cost me too much to raise it for
the Amt received My total receipts Amt to $834. 60 I paid out to day
to W B Woodruff $460 I Paid Turner & Trafton for Mrs Drurys Adm
