409 16th I have been somewhat better to day But not well enough to attempt to do much 17th Went to Henderson in Company with Miss M J Smith &c 18th Sunday I was at Church this morning Elder Thurman preached I was also at Sunday School at the Baptist Church in the evening 19th I commenced cutting my Tobacco this evening and I hope to get the most of it in the House this week _ 20th 21st 22d 23rd & 24th I have been Cutting and Housing my Tobacco all the week The crop is a good one if it was not for the worms They have injured it considerably 25th Sunday I was at Sabbath School at the Methodist Church this morning and at the Baptist Church in the evedning 26th Went to Henderson to day in company with Mary A Cooper 27th Cutting and Houseing tobacco to day 28th do do do 29th do 30th I finished Cutting and Housing my Crop to day We that is Croppers and all will get ghrough or nearly so this week This ends the month which has been unusually pleasant and fine on the Tobacco raisers and I do not remember to have ever seen such fine weather for Cutting and Saving a crop of tobacco _ October lst Went to Henderson to day in Company with Sallie Smith I Bought of George Delker a Buggy for $315 I paid him Cash $100 Gave him One Note Dun'! Four Months after date for $100 and one due Oct lst 1871 for $115 The weather is pleasant But Dry 2nd Sunday I was at Sunday School at the Methodist Church this morning and at the Baptist Church in the evening 32d About the Farm &c to day 4th Went to Henderson & the Fair to day I sold one Barrell of ยท Cider at $15 IL y of Beef $4. 80 1 Cow Hide $2. 30 2 shoats $4. 25 I was at the Far%while but the Crowd to day was a Small one inn
