We left the Pleasant crowd about 11 oclock and through
dangers seen and unseen we wended ouric fearfull way home through
the Sleet and I have no doubt many a gratefull Prayer ascended for
their deliverance and safety from those who made the trip Home that
night

Mrs, Thornberry were the Happy Couple this time The weding took
Place at Mrs. Thornberrys
Well Jesse you have gone and done it at last and from
the Heart I wish you a Happy life and may your long waiting realize
lifes full fruition and may your joys be many and your Cares be few
and may the rough Storms of life Blow over you and lifes fondest
dreams be realized in this mundane Sphere

with G B Martin to day I found them doing well notwithstanding
the Sleet

n 29th Sunday I went to E D Powells this morning and from there
to Mitchells &c The Sleet has disappeared Rapidly and nature once
more wears her usual winter appearance This Sleet was of longer
duration than I have ever seen before

This month has been Cold but Pleasant a fine month for
work but I am Sorry to Say I have not accomplished much on the Farm
The Labor that we have to depend on is Such that a man
Can make no Calculations on the farm and I shall only try it one year
more if I cannot do Better than what I have done the past year
